Student Information

RTO will:

  • Help employers choose the right nationally recognised qualification and how the training will be delivered
  • Customise the training to the requirements of the business
  • Conduct a skills assessment of each trainee/apprentice to identify Competencies already held and those yet to be attained
  • Ensure the Training Plan is completed, signed off by the employer, apprentice/trainee and RTO
  • Deliver the structured training, which may be at the RTO, the workplace, or a combination of both
  • Provide workplace support to the employer and apprentice/trainee, including assistance with scheduling structured training and planning the assessment process
  • Negotiate assessment arrangements with the employer and apprentice/trainee and validate assessment and
  • Issue the Qualification or Statement of Attainment in compliance with the Australian Quality Training Framework
  • Provide language & numeracy evaluation to ensure the training meets the individual learning needs
  • Provide learners with access to their records with respect to progress and participation

Participant will:

  • Follow the conditions set out in your Training Contract
  • Be aware of what is in your training program and do all the training described in it
  • Attend training and assessment sessions with your allocated trainer from your appointed Registered Training Organisation
  • Work under instruction at agreed working times
  • Follow your employer's rules, especially those on health and safety
  • It's a good idea to keep a record of your achievements both at work and in training.
  • Cooperate and participate in all allocated training activities and tasks set by Employer and/or RTO

Employer will:

  • Provide opportunities for apprentices/trainees to develop their skills
  • Participate in developing the Training Plan
  • Provide a safe working environment and comply with relevant Commonwealth, State and Territory legislation
  • Allow trainee to receive 3 hrs of ‘out of routine duties’ for training each week
  • Monitor trainee’s progress throughout traineeship
  • Offer mentoring and coaching during release from routine work duties
  • Conduct on-the-job training in conjunction with PTS trainer in required competencies
  • Support the trainee in the learning process
  • Agree to allow the allocated trainer to visit, train and assess your enrolled participant/s approximately every 8 weeks (by negotiation) for the entirety of the program. If the participant/s has/have not completed their allocated tasks within this time frame, your Company will still allow the allocated trainer to visit the participant/s, allocate the next series of training tasks and record the meeting as an official visit
